Finite element structural analysis for engineers, from the 3D model to the calculation report.

Validated against theory: perforated plate in tension under 10 kN A 200 × 50 × 3 mm steel plate with a 24 mm hole, in tension under 10 kN. Howland’s classical solution, as given in Peterson, predicts a maximum of 278 MPa at the edge of the hole. Mecanius computes 277.8 MPa with the mesh refined to 2 mm at the hole: less than 0.5% difference. -
